Like Father, Like Son

Designed and engineered by He,
In whom universes generated,
At His command all came to be,
Consummate systems relegated,
Each to its place by Father God,
And Holy Ghost commemorating,
Messiah, Jesus Christ, The Son,
Worlds within worlds prognosticating,
Thoughts of all through lens of Him,
Meant to be contemplative,
Crafting love above all else,
We are meant to be creative.

Strange Relations

I can’t belong to you anymore,
And of this you don’t approve.
I’ve never been a separate person,
In your mind, it means you lose.

I can’t pretend my feelings,
Don’t conceal them well.
Your anger is compelling,
There’s no motivation, still.

Pleasing you- no longer my forte,
I am surely to pain bound..
But for heaven I am fit,
In His righteousness I’m found.

13 Reasons Why

Thirteen Reasons Why
Is really only one:
The darkness of the heart
Brings us to undone.
At that moment
Some look up
To find self in His eyes,
Capture worth and meaning
To face the next sunrise
With joy in His purpose,
For their precious lives.
Others look around,
Or even worse look down,
See only further night,
Can’t escape their plight,
End the way they started
In the dark and broken hearted.

Nativity

For redemption
He chased us
To His stable bed,
Born of water and blood
While He knew
He’d be lead,
To a cross on a hill
Where he’d suffer and die,
Then journey to Hell
To battle the Night,
Longing for Day
To captives he’d preach,
Past, present, and future
His Life would reach,
Covenant of Old
His own death would keep.

Wondering For Christmas

Wondering is the perfect food
For the hungry soul,
Ultimately has brought to mind
All we truly know,

Inspiring angels when it brings
The thief to earn his meat,
Lift their voices praises sing
As harlot’s love turns sweet,

With their shouting heaven rings
When liar can live honestly-
How precious is this wondering
When brings us to belief!

In Him To Belong

I do now thank Him

For the muck and the mire,

For deliverance from a frozen desire

For death…

And for His strong sweet

Breath exhaled on the fire,

When the embers burn low, succumbing to tire

I wait…

There under the skies

I lie stretched on the pyre,

Then all is still, until I hear Him inquire

Of me…
