Circumstantial Evidence

Can we help
What we never knew?
Was there a day
I didn’t think of you?

Am I to blame?
I only sought the Truth,
Was hoping I would learn
To wear these shoes;

Wanted to walk
When I never learned to crawl,
Wanted to dance
No invitation to the ball.

Is the fault mine?
I was only trying,
To live a little longer
Just before dying.

Could I have known?
Though no words were spoken,
Your eyes had clouded,
Your vision was broken.
