I am made sad by the story of a poor woman

Who was so afraid of not having enough,

She was moved to throw the beseeching

Mongrel into a tow sack alive,

Then to toss him into the bayou.

Poor little stray dog that begged

For the crumbs from the master’s table,

But then I laugh because I remember

That God has set His King on Zion!
