An Advent dream
Dawned sweet and clear!
I was with you.
You were here.
The tree was lit
In candle glow,
Ornaments shining,
Pretty presents below.
The fire flickered
In bright warm hues,
We laughed and cried
While sharing news.
The feast was fine
Long table spread,
With delicacies
From toe to head.
Dessert was served
In frilly dishes,
We spoke of merry
Christmas wishes.
Then too soon
‘Twas time to go,
Still in sleep
I missed you so!
